MSC Mindful Self-Compassion Group $550 till February 3
This 8 week class is designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion and teaches you how to
respond to difficult moments in your life with self-kindness, mindful awareness, and a deep
understanding that suffering (painful experiences) is part or our common humanity.
This group is for women who are in a major midlife transition such as Divorce, Caregiving, Grieving the Loss of a Loved one, Empty-nesting, Retirement or job loss, or a medical crisis.
The tools of Self-Compassion are the first tools you will need to learn how to deal with the challenges you are facing. This toolbox will get you on your way at any stage of the “Midlife Voyage to Transformation”. You can read more about this voyage here.
Come and explore some of these practices that were designed and researched by Kristin Neff, Ph.D and Chris Germer, Ph. D. and the UCSD Mindfulness Center. You will learn that the research shows self-compassion is more productive than using self-criticism or harsh methods to motivate yourself. We will share with you this research and much more that you can begin to put into your life right now.
If you are suffering from some difficult situation in your life right now, you are certainly welcome to come to this class and get more support to work with it both on your own and if you choose to share with members of the group that can also help you.

The group runs on from 7 -9 pm starting February 7/8 and ending on April 11/12
RETREAT: There will also be a 5 hour retreat on Saturday, March 23 at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd at 71st and Lookout Road. This is included in the price of the group. This is an opportunity to practice these tools together and deepen your connection with them.
